Public Notice: ASI Annual Surveillance of Rainforest Alliance SmartWood Program (SW) CoC assessment, Tembec SW-COC-001594

August 16, 2010: ASI will be conducting a surveillance assessment of the SW program from August 30th to September 7th, 2010 on behalf of FSC AC. The assessment will be at Tembec, SW-COC-001594, August 30th (Central Office and Temboard), September 1 (Cochrane) and September 7th (Skookumchuck). ASI welcomes all comments regarding the performance of SmartWood as an FSC accredited certification body. Public Notice: Forest Managment Certification First Annual Audit of Coast Forest Conservation Initiative (CFCI)

August 10, 2010: The SmartWood Program of the Rainforest Alliance is conducting a forest management first annual audit of Coast Forest Conservation Initiative including British Columbia Timber Sales, International Forest Products, and Western Forest Products in the Mid-Coast Timber Supply Area, British Columbia, Canada. Public Notice: Forest Management Certification Assessment of Association des Proprietaires de Boises de la Beauce

August 3, 2010: The SmartWood Program of the Rainforest Alliance will conduct a forest management certification assessment of l'Association des proprietaires de Boises de la Beauce (APBB) representing approximatley 250 private land owners. Public Notice: Forest Management Re-Assessment for Eacom Timber Corporation (Matagami Operations)

July 19, 2010: Eacom Timber Corporation – Matagami operations has engaged QMI-SAI Global to conduct their Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Forest Management surveillance audit on the Forest Management Units 086-63 and 086-64. This audit is scheduled for the week of August 23, 2010 and will use the FSC National Boreal Standard.

To assist with the audit, QMI-SAI Global solicits your input in this process. If you have any comments or concerns regarding the operations of Eacom Timber Corporation – Matagami operations that you would like us to address you may contact the lead auditor François Grimard at 418-688-4507 ext. 236 or by email at FSC-Eacom-Mat@gfg-camint.com. He will also be available during the week of August 23, 2010 if you should wish to meet him and the audit team.

This audit is scheduled for the week of August 23, 2010 and will use the FSC National Boreal Standard.

July 7, 2010: ASI on behalf of FSC A.C., will be conducting the annual forest management surveillance assessment for QMI on behalf of FSC between the 23rd and 27th of August 2010. The site visit will be to Domtar Inc., Matagami, QC, Canada (QMI-FM/COC-001021). ASI welcomes all comments regarding the performance of QMI as an FSC accredited certification body.
