FSC Promotion

The FSC ‘check-tree’ logo, the ‘FSC’ initials and the name ‘Forest Stewardship Council’ are registered trademarks.  The FSC trademarks may only be used if you have received prior permission from FSC to do so. 

Who can use the FSC Trademarks?

• The products are sold to final consumers;
• The products have been sourced from, and invoiced by, an FSC-certified company; 
• The products are not transformed, altered, repacked or relabeled in any way;
• The correct FSC Label was applied to the product by an FSC-certified company; and
• The promotion of the product is clearly linked to a specific FSC-certified and labeled product 

Approval of FSC Trademark Use

FSC-certified companies must get approval for the promotional use of the FSC trademarks, and for the use of the FSC Label on products, by sending an electronic copy of the trademark use to their third-party Certifier. The FSC trademarks and Labels may be downloaded from the online Label and Trademark Generator. For access to the generator, contact you third-party Certifier.

Non-certified companies must get approval for the use of the FSC trademarks on promotional materials by filling in an APPLICATION and sending an electronic copy of the FSC trademark use to FSC Canada (E: info@fsccanada.org).
