FSC Labels

FSC Labels can be found on products that meet FSC’s strict environmental and social standards.

There are three types of FSC Labels that can be found on FSC-certified products (FSC 100%, FSC MIX, FSC Recycled).

FSC Labels identify:

The type of fibre in the product (e.g. 100% FSC, Mix, Recycled)
The source of fibre in the product (e.g. From well managed forests, from responsible sources, from recycled materials); and
The identity of the certified company producing the product (e.g. Trademark License Code: FSC-C######).

Who can use the FSC Label?

Only FSC-certified companies may place an FSC Label on a certified product, or pass on the FSC claim on invoices.

To have the FSC Label placed on a printed document you must:

Verify that whoever is printing the document is FSC-certified www.info.fsc.org.
Ask that FSC-certified paper be used and that the FSC Label be placed on the document

Approvals of FSC Label use

FSC-certified companies must get approval for the use of the FSC Label on products, and for promotional use of the FSC trademarks, by sending an electronic copy of the trademark use to their third-party Certifier. The FSC trademarks and Labels may be downloaded from the online Label and Trademark Generator. For access to the generator, contact your third-party Certifier.
